About Me

Creating a Space To Be.

Counsellor for teenagers and children

Caroline Larcombe MBACP (Accred)

I trained at The Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education as an integrative counsellor which means that I use different theories to inform my practice depending on what feels right. Working from a relational perspective means that I believe the relationship between the counsellor and the client is central to the work. I am a certified Online and Telephone Counsellor. I am working face to face at The Practice in Weybridge, Surrey, in Hampton (London Borough of Richmond) and online via Zoom for young people over the age of 13.

I work as a CAMHS counsellor with Relate and have in the past worked for Lifecentre in West Sussex, West Mercia Womens Aid, several secondary and primary schools as well as in private practice.

Some of the issues that I have worked with are anxiety, attachment disorder, anger management, behaviour problems, bullying, depression, domestic violence, emotional abuse, feeling sad, low self confidence, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties with family and peers, panic attacks, self-harm, sexual trauma, stress, trauma. This list is not exhaustive.

Work can be either short term or long term and this can be reviewed regularly, short term is typically 8 - 12 weeks, longer term can be open ended depending on what works best for you.

I hold a current enhanced DBS certificate, up to date safeguarding training and am GDPR compliant.

I am an Accredited Member of BACP - the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and work to their ethical guidelines, which can be found on their website www.bacp.co.uk, this includes attending regular supervision and continued professional development.
