Creating a Space To Be.
Caroline Larcombe Bsc (Hons), Dip CC, MBACP
I trained at The Institute for Art in Therapy and Education as an integrative counsellor which means that I use different theories to inform my practice depending on what feels right. I work from a relational perspective in that I believe the relationship between the counsellor and the client is central to the work. I have completed an Online and Telephone counselling course which means that I am a certified Online and Telephone Counsellor. At the moment all session that I am offering are via Zoom. If you do not have Zoom I can send you instructions on how to download it onto your phone, laptop, tablet or pc.
I work as a CAMHS counsellor with Relate and have in the past worked for Lifecentre in West Sussex and several secondary and primary schools. I also have experience of working at a PRU school.
I am currently working with teenagers and adults as parenting sessions. All contracts start with a free 30 minute phone call so that we can discuss your needs. If you then deceide to book a session our first session will be an assessment session where we can discuss your needs in greater detail and how we will work towards what you would like to achieve.
Some of the issues that I have worked with are anxiety, attachment disorder, anger management, behaviour problems, bullying, depression, domestic violence, emotional abuse, feeling sad, low self confidence, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties with family and peers, self-harm, sexual trauma, stress, trauma. This list is not exclusive, we can discuss in your free telephone consultation if I am able to work with you.
Work can be either short term or long term and this can be reviewed regularly, short term is typically 8 - 12 weeks, longer term can be open ended depending on what works best for you.
I hold a current enhanced DBS certificate, up to date safeguarding training and am GDPR compliant.
I am a registered member of BACP - the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and work to their ethical guidelines, which can be found on their website www.bacp.co.uk, this includes attending regular supervision and continued professional development.
